The Makran coastal region is home to Hingol National Park, also known as Hungol National Park (Urdu: ہنگول نیشنل پارک). The park spans the Balochistani districts of Gwadar, Lasbela, and Awaran, and it is located roughly 190 kilometres (118 mi) from Karachi. In 1988, Hingol was designated as a national park.
